building Stoop + Budgetly · open to support / QA / product roles
I started out on the front line of tech support — triaging tickets, chasing root causes, and keeping calm when a client's software (or patience) broke. I progressed from frontline software support into managing technical support operations, mentoring team members, improving documentation, and owning escalations end to end.
Now I'm completing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Vancouver and pointing that same troubleshooting instinct at building software rather than just supporting it — picking up React, TypeScript, and Supabase, and layering in QA testing, cybersecurity, and AI/automation fundamentals along the way.
Outside of coursework, I'm building two products from the ground up: a personal finance app and a rental marketplace platform. Details below.
Experience
Three roles, one employer, one steady climb from frontline support to running the desk.
- Coordinated daily technical support operations, keeping open cases moving toward timely resolution.
- Owned client escalations end to end, providing clear status updates and calm, consistent communication until closure.
- Partnered with internal teams to diagnose software issues and maintain consistent case management.
- Mentored support team members and strengthened troubleshooting documentation and practices.
- Delivered frontline support to software users — diagnosing issues, answering product questions, resolving requests.
- Maintained responsive client communication and tracked recurring problems to ensure reliable follow-up.
- Documented fixes and issue patterns, improving service consistency and future resolution speed.
- Assisted with software support, issue logging, troubleshooting, and day-to-day user requests in a client-facing environment.
- Built hands-on experience in technical problem solving, support workflow discipline, and professional client communication.
Projects
The two products currently in active development — this is where the support background meets the product ambitions.
Budgetly
A personal finance app with investment portfolio tracking, live market quotes, and a canvas-to-PDF report engine. Refactored from a ~6,500-line monolith into 14 focused components, with role-based auth, super-admin controls, and a fixed client-side key exposure and RLS policy bug along the way.
Stoop
A property marketplace and tenancy management platform — viewing scheduling, rental applications, and tenant screening flows. Currently a single-file React prototype, with a Supabase backend integration planned as the next milestone.
Skills
Grouped the way a support ticket would be — by category, not by arbitrary percentage.
